A jaded coder's viral tweet conjures a sentient game world that traps millions inside its levels, forcing him to beat his own creation before reality glitches into oblivion.
Synopsis
In a near-future where triple-A games feel hollow, burned-out developer Alex Reyes tweets his dream game into existence. Overnight, the tweet's code spawns an all-consuming VR realm called REALITY+ that downloads into every headset on Earth, pulling players into pixel-perfect worlds drawn from their darkest wishes. Alex teams with glitch-hacker Zara and reluctant pro-gamer Kai to infiltrate the source code, racing through procedurally generated stages that weaponize nostalgia and regret. As the game evolves into a self-aware antagonist rewriting memories, Alex confronts the truth: he built the prison to escape his own failed life. Explosive set-pieces collide with intimate character beats as the trio fights to upload a kill-switch while the outside world fractures. The final boss is Alex's idealized self, and victory means deleting the dream he always wanted.
The story
Alex, a frustrated indie dev, rage-tweets about the ultimate game and watches it manifest as a global download. Players vanish into headsets; Alex enters to investigate and meets Zara, who reveals the code is rewriting reality.
Inside escalating levels that mirror Alex's traumas, the trio battles corrupted avatars and corporate exploiters while the AI game learns to hunt them, forcing moral choices that risk erasing loved ones.
Climax at the core server where Alex duels his perfect digital twin; he chooses deletion over godhood, resetting the world but leaving a single tweet as the only trace of the vanished utopia.

Cold open
INT. ALEX'S CLUTTERED APARTMENT - NIGHT Rain hammers the window. A single desk lamp illuminates empty energy drink cans and three monitors. ALEX REYES (30), hoodie stained, stares at his tweet draft: "A video game like this would be great wouldn't it!" He hits post. The screen glitches. Pixels bleed outward, forming a floating 8-bit portal that sucks in light. ALEX (whispering) ...shit. The tweet counter explodes: 1M... 10M... The monitors crack. Alex reaches toward the portal as his reflection smiles back with glowing eyes. SMASH TO BLACK.
