Synopsis

On a quiet Sunday, astronomer Yuna Sato streams the night sky in pristine 4K from her Tokyo rooftop when faint figures flicker at the edge of the frame, whispering “they are everywhere they are nowhere.” Her warnings go unheeded until her daughter vanishes inside their own apartment, replaced by a starlit silhouette that shouldn’t exist. As the manifestations spread across every screen in the city, the family must decode a forgotten J-horror ritual before the ghosts permanently overwrite reality itself. With each passing Sunday the 4K footage grows sharper while the living grow fainter, trapped between the living world and an infinite starlit void. Yuna’s ex-husband, a disgraced tech engineer, discovers the spirits are using consumer cameras as portals. Together they race to destroy every lens before the next broadcast traps them forever.

The story

Act I

Yuna’s peaceful Sunday stream captures impossible starlit figures; her daughter begins sleepwalking toward every glowing screen. Strange audio glitches warn “oh no don’t do that.”

Act II

The ghosts manifest inside the apartment via 4K feeds, abducting family members one by one; Yuna and her ex uncover the curse’s digital origin and must destroy their own equipment while evading spectral hunters.

Act III

In a final rooftop confrontation under starlight, they perform the forgotten ritual live on stream, forcing the entities back into the void but at the cost of permanent disconnection from the digital world.

INT. TOKYO APARTMENT ROOFTOP - NIGHT

YUNA SATO, 34, adjusts a professional 4K camera pointed at the stars. Her daughter AIKO, 8, watches the live feed on a tablet.

YUNA: Perfect clarity tonight. The stars look close enough to touch.

On the monitor, faint translucent FIGURES flicker between the constellations.

AIKO: Mommy, who are those people?

YUNA: (smiling) Just noise, sweetie. Don’t worry.

The figures sharpen. One appears to wave. The tablet glitches: “They are everywhere they are nowhere.”

YUNA: Oh no, don’t do that—

Static floods the screen. Aiko’s reflection on the tablet smiles back without moving her mouth.

Why now

In an era of constant 4K surveillance and live streaming, audiences feel watched by invisible forces; this film weaponizes that paranoia through classic J-horror, delivering a timely scare about technology turning our safest rituals into portals for the unseen.
