A driven choreographer's hyper-realistic recreation of Michael Jackson's signature moves awakens something alive in the footage that begins to watch back.
Synopsis
Alex Rivera spends eighteen months choreographing and filming the definitive Michael Jackson dance reel using only practical precision and custom rigs. When the final cut screens for the first time the micro-flicks of the eyes feel sentient. The footage starts responding to Alex's presence in the room. As private screenings spiral into public previews the dance grows more autonomous each night. Colleagues vanish or suffer breakdowns after viewing. Alex realizes the performance has begun choreographing him instead. The line between creator and creation collapses inside a climactic live broadcast where the only way to stop the terror is to dance perfectly with it.
The story
Alex Rivera a brilliant but isolated choreographer lands the career-defining gig to recreate Michael Jackson's iconic moves for a secret high-stakes preview reel. He obsesses over every micro-movement until the test footage exceeds human capability.
During private screenings the eyes on screen begin tracking viewers. Colleagues suffer breakdowns or disappear. Alex's own body starts involuntarily mirroring the footage at night while the dance evolves beyond his choreography.
On a live global broadcast the footage breaks containment. Alex must enter the frame and match the impossible routine in real time or be erased by his own creation ending in a perfect synchronized final pose that leaves the world frozen in fear.

Cold open
INT. EDITING SUITE - NIGHT A single monitor glows in darkness. ALEX RIVERA, 32, leans inches from the screen. On it MICHAEL JACKSON executes the final beat of "Billie Jean." The eyes flick left on a micro-timing only Alex requested. ALEX There. Second shot. Exactly like I asked. The figure on screen pauses mid-spin. Its pupils lock directly onto the camera lens. ALEX (CONT'D) ...That's not in the take. The eyes track Alex as he slowly stands. The figure smiles the same smile from the 1983 Motown performance. Alex's own reflection begins to match the movement involuntarily. ALEX (CONT'D) (whisper) I was frightened first.
Why now
Audiences are living inside an era of flawless digital doubles and performance capture that erases the line between human and constructed reality, making a story about a creation that refuses to stay on screen feel like both a nightmare and an inevitability.
